We’re beyond excited today to announce that UK’s Empathy Test have just signed to Stars & Letters Records and that we will be releasing their new EP “Throwing Stones” this year! Earlier this year they self-released their debut EP “Losing Touch” and word about their music has been spreading like wildfire online. Check out their insanely addictive debut EP below and follow them on Facebook to catch their latest song releases and videos.
Empathy Test, a.k.a singer / songwriter Isaac Howlett and digital composer Adam Relf, have known each other since they were just a couple of kids playing with Star Wars figures in a quarry in Kent, Southeast England. Having relocated to London, they’ve been making music together as Empathy Test and have already stirred up considerable buzz amongst fans for their debut EP “Losing Touch”.
Empathy Test draw on contemporary influences such as Purity Ring, Grimes and Chvrches, as well as classic 80s synth pop such as Depeche Mode, New Order and The Cure, to create a dynamic synth-pop sound that’s equal parts light and shade. Alongside their music, Empathy Test also design all their own artwork to create their own, fully immersible world.
Their debut EP Losing Touch EP is currently available at all major digital outlets including iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Bandcamp and more. Their eagerly awaited follow-up EP Throwing Stones will be released this year by Brooklyn label, Stars & Letters Records, with the first new singles due out this summer.
